Language and Communication
Tuesday, May 6 @ 6:30 p.m.
DeKalb Public Library
309 Oak Street DeKalb, Illinois 60115-3369
Yusunas Meeting Room, for adults
Each session uses media–news articles, books, images, poems, artworks, podcasts, to name a few–as a springboard to talk across differences.
The May session will focus on language and communication. We will discuss how the words we use to talk about migration may shape our perceptions of newcomers. To register and obtain a list of possible sources, please contact Britta at brittak@dkpl.org or (815) 756-9568 ext. 2100.
